At Unbranded Productions, we are proud to have partnered with Marley McGuinness and Lisa Quali from Reserved X to bring Bobbi Brown Cosmetics’ “In My Skin” campaign to life during NYC Fall Fashion Week 2024. Held at the stunning West Edge Event Space above Chelsea Market on the High Line in NYC, this impactful event showcased inclusivity, self-expression, and innovation through flawless event production.
A Seamless Blend of Audio, Lighting, and Video Production
From the moment guests arrived at the loading dock to the final moments in the content pod, Unbranded Productions curated a cohesive and immersive experience tailored to the “In My Skin” campaign’s theme.
Distributed Audio for an Inclusive Experience
Background Music: We provided distributed audio throughout the event space using our K Array KR402 systems along with a Yamaha QL5 audio console to create an inviting atmosphere with subtle background music that set the tone for the evening.
Focused Audio for Influencer Talks: For the influencer-led discussions and Q&A session, we utilized our K Array KR402 series speakers with a Yamaha CL5 audio console and Shure ULXD wireless microphones, ensuring crystal-clear sound. The panel featured incredible talent from Kensingtongrey, adding expertise and energy to the discussions.
Affirmation Room Audio: The affirmation room featured K Array KR202 systems, delivering light, soothing background sounds to enhance the reflective and calming atmosphere.
Affirmation Room Highlights
In addition to ambient audio, the affirmation room featured a 35′ wide by 12′ tall Stretch Shapes.net “Quick Wall” displaying moving text “quotes” about what it means to be “in your skin.” This inspiring visual element reinforced the campaign’s message of empowerment and self-expression.
Event Lighting for Every Detail
Uplighting and Entrance Design: Guests were welcomed through the loading dock with vibrant uplighting provided by Astera AX9 uplights. The freight elevator was transformed into an exciting entrance with Astera Titan Tubes, setting the stage for the event.
Main Event Space Lighting: We refocused the in-house track lighting system to highlight key areas, including Bobbi Brown product displays and activation zones.
Content Pod Lighting: For the influencer content pod—where guests shared personal reflections on being “In My Skin”—we used Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) Fos/4 Panels. These lights delivered an even, clean, and flat field ideal for photo and video production, controlled via an ETC ION console.
Innovative Video Mapping
A key feature of the event was a breathtaking 35′ wide by 12′ tall projection wall created with a Stretch Shapes.net “Quick Wall.” Using double-stacked Christie 4K1600-JS projectors, content was played via Resolume and mapped with Mad Mapper software, delivering stunning visuals that elevated the overall experience.
Elegant Draping
Our friends at Drape Kings provided all the draping throughout the space, adding an extra layer of sophistication and cohesion to the event design.
Guest Journey and Event Flow
The thoughtfully designed event flow began at the loading dock and freight elevator, taking guests into the affirmation room before leading them into the main event space.
